Coke Studio’s new song ‘Kana Yaari’ featuring singers Eva B, Kaifi Khalil and Abdul Wahab Bugti, was released on Wednesday and social media users are hooked.
The Balochi song which is a mix of hip hop and cultural tunes, speaks of betrayal and heartbreak in friendship. In a “behind the scenes” video of the making of the song, associate music producer Arsalan Hassan said that “even though it’s a Balochi song, it’s pop and we want it to be played in cars. It should be playing somewhere you’re sitting. We want to dance on this song.”
B’s magnetic rap combined with Khalil’s modern pop and Bugti’s authentic Balochi spirit makes it a good fusion of three unique styles.
After the overwhelming response on Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal’s ‘Tu Jhoom,’ ‘Kana Yaari’ is also garnering great love from social media users.
