An Afghan delegation led by Muhammadullah Bakhtiar, the ministry official in charge of international transit, has recently visited Baluchistan port city Chabahar where he had a meeting with Secretary of Iranian Free Zones High Council Hojatollah Abdolmaleki.
In their visit to Balochistan port city, the Afghan delegation held talks with the Iranian side on operationalizing the transportation chain and facilitating the conditions for the activities of Afghan businesspeople.
According to a statement released by the Taliban ministry, the two sides emphasized the development of ties in the fields of trade, transportation, and transit from south Balochistan port to Afghanistan
They also highlighted the full support of officials of the two countries regarding the Chabahar development project in Baluchistan.
Earlier, a technical-economic delegation of the Taliban government arrived in Balochistan’s Chabahar port to break the ground for the construction operation of some trade and residential projects.
The Taliban’s trade ministry had previously revealed the visit of the technical delegation to Balochistan , Iran aimed at boosting the transit cooperation and the development of economic ties.
For Afghanistan, Iran’s, Balochistan Chabahar Port can replace ports in Pakistan that are currently used for import and export activities.
