BLA Strikes Pakistani Army Convoy In Balochistan’s Lasbela, Over 23 Personnel Feared Dead

A major attack targeting Pakistani security forces has been reported in Balochistan’s Lasbela district, with a Pakistani Army convoy coming under attack on the N-25 National Highway, according to security sources.

More than 23 Pakistani Army personnel are feared killed in the attack, sources said, while several others are reported to have sustained injuries. The casualties were reported after a blast targeted a convoy comprising around 15 Frontier Force vehicles in the Kashari area of Lasbela.

According to the inputs, one of the security-force vehicles was set ablaze following the attack. Injured personnel were evacuated to the Bela camp, while the N-25 highway was shut following the incident. Pakistani security forces have launched search and clearance operations in the area.

The attack has been attributed to the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which has significantly stepped up its armed campaign against Pakistani security forces and state installations across Balochistan in recent months.
