Sohrab Baloch
The harrowing instance of human rights abuses in occupied #Balochistan remains an increasing concern on the world stage. Instances of #Balochenforceddisappearances, in which people are secretly abducted or imprisoned by state of Pakistan or Pakistan army (Pakistan ISI & FC) , have escalated, leading to heightened fears and trauma among the Baloch community. Expressing solidarity with the families of the victims of enforced disappearances is not only a responsibility but a moral obligation of global citizens and human rights organizations around the world. It is with great concern that we relay the news of the recent arbitrary abduction of six Baloch students from the area of Bulegtar in Kech. This includes two brothers, Zaheer and Peerjan son of Lashkaran, Adil and Shahjan sons of Asa, and Ahmed Baloch son of Shagar Allah and Shaukat son of Leyvari – all of them students of the Erra Agricultural University. These #Balochenforceddisappearances evoke a strong sense of dread and are a stark reminder of the gross human rights abuses occurring in occupied Balochistan. The infringement on the freedom of speech and movement, routine violations of the fundamental human right to life, and the alarming lack of accountability surrounding these disappearances paint a worrisome picture. It is now, therefore, paramount that human rights organizations, global watchdogs, and the international community rise and take notice. It is crucial to condemn these actions and put pressure on the responsible parties to end enforced disappearances. It is time to vehemently remind the world that ‘disappeared’ does not mean forgotten, that the silenced will still be heard, and every individual deserves the inviolable right to exist. We urge global leaders and human rights organizations, including United Nations rapporteur (
),
Amnesty International,
Human Rights Watch, and the
United Nations Human Rights Council, to actively advocate and intervene in bringing an end to the human rights abuses and disappearances in occupied Balochistan. Families murdered, brothers missing, children orphaned – this suffering must not be marginalized or brushed under the rug. It is time to stand with the families of the enforced disappearances and amplify the screams of those who have lost their loved ones forever. We call upon you to assist in shedding light on these dark events and work together to bring an end to this grievous chapter in human history. With an undeterred spirit and a united voice, let us demand the end of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and globally. Today, we remember, we stand, and we fight for justice in Balochistan.
