New video shows movements and training of Fatemiyoun militia in the suburbs of Chabahar; militia patrols continue in Baluchestan despite recent casualties. According to a report by Baloch Media on Saturday, October 10, 2026, a video has been received showing the presence, movements, and live-fire training of additional members of the “Fatemiyoun Division” militia in the outskirts and surrounding areas of Chabahar County.
In the footage, these armed non-Iranian militia members—who are heard conversing in Persian—are seen conducting live-fire training and maneuvers in the vicinity of Chabahar. Based on field investigations by Baloch media, this visual evidence serves as further proof of the extensive and ongoing deployment of these IRGC-affiliated proxy militias across strategic routes and areas in the southern part of Sistan and Baluchistan province.
The revelation of these non-Iranian militia members’ presence in Baluchistan comes as Baloch Media has published numerous reports and videos in recent weeks detailing their movements across various parts of the region.
Notable examples include footage of armed patrols by these forces in the Rood-Mahi highlands of Zahedan, as well as armed military training conducted at a girls’ middle school in the Gasht district of Saravan—incidents that have sparked a wave of concern and protest among Baloch citizens.
The deployment of these extremist militias in Iran’s Baluchistan region persists even as Fatemiyoun militants have been targeted in numerous attacks and suffered heavy casualties over the past month; notably, on September 11 (Shahrivar 20), at least four members of the group were killed while on patrol in the Rood-Mahi area of Zahedan. Furthermore, on October 2 (Mehr 10), a military vehicle (Land Cruiser) belonging to Fatemiyoun forces in the same area (the Kaleh-Padeh route) was first struck by a landmine and subsequently subjected to heavy gunfire, resulting in the deaths of at least five occupants.
On Thursday, October 8 (Mehr 16), two vehicles carrying plainclothes Fatemiyoun forces were pursued and fired upon after leaving the Karindook base in Nikshahr; the incident left all occupants dead or wounded and necessitated a massive aerial evacuation by helicopter to Chabahar and Konarak.
The “Popular Fighters Front” has claimed responsibility for all these attacks. Investigations by Baloch Media indicate that security agencies and state-affiliated media consistently attempt to conceal the true identities of the militants killed or stationed in the province. In all the aforementioned instances—including the clashes in Rood-Mahi and Nikshahr—official media outlets have misrepresented the forces involved, labeling them as “members of the IRGC” or “personnel of the Army Ground Forces” while refusing to mention the “Fatemiyoun Division,” thereby preventing public exposure of the organized nature of their presence in the region. The online media outlet Baloch Media continues to closely monitor the movements, redeployments, and bases of these militias across the province of Baluchistan.
