Forces from the Housing Foundation and  urban planning authorities, accompanied by law enforcement officers and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel, destroyed at least six  homes belonging to Baluch citizens in the village of Kamb, Chabahar, in the early hours of Thursday, September 3, 2026.

The Balochistan Human Rights Documentation Network reported that state forces entered the village of Kamb around 2:00 AM and demolished the residential structures using loaders and excavators.

Local sources stated that officers presented no judicial warrants to the residents during the demolition operations.

Officers at the scene insulted and threatened women and children. Several female officers warned residents that stun guns would be used against them if they moved or resisted.

A number of affected families stated that they have resided on these lands for 20 to 25 years. Government forces departed the area upon completing the operation, leaving the displaced families without shelter.

Officials from the Housing Foundation, the Department of Roads and Urban Development, the Chabahar Governorship, and the Law Enforcement Command have yet to provide explanations regarding the rationale for the demolitions, the status of land ownership, or allegations that the operation was carried out without a judicial warrant.

This is not the first reported action by state institutions against the homes and property of Kamb residents. In November/December 2025, military and government forces entered parts of the village, marking and cordoning off land and homes belonging to several citizens.

Despite decades of residence in the area, inhabitants of Kamb lack formal title deeds and remain deprived of basic municipal services and infrastructure. Government authorities classify these properties as “national lands,” whereas residents maintain that no documentation regarding development plans, land titles, or authorization for state actions has been provided to them.

In recent years, numerous reports have emerged detailing the demolition of Baluch citizens’ homes in Chabahar and other areas across Sistan and Baluchestan under the pretext of combating “land grabbing” or reclaiming “national lands.” Baluch activists emphasize that the absence of official title deeds leaves long-term residents vulnerable to home demolitions and dispossession
