Seminary student killed, nine injured in Khuzdar grenade blast

A seminary student was killed while nine others were injured in a hand grenade blast in Khuzdar on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The children belonging to a local madrassa found the grenade from a mountainous area on Monday and were playing with it today when it exploded leaving 10 of them injured in Wudh area of Khuzdar district. One of them later died at the hospital.

Four of the seriously injured boys were shifted to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Hospital sources said Nasir son of Pasand Khan died during the treatment.

Sources further said that there had been a gunbattle going on between two rival groups in Wudh area. The security forces on Monday had brokered a ceasefire between them and took over their trenches, the sources added.
