Unusual Demands by the Administration of Rah-e Zeinab Girls’ School in Chabahar County
According to a report received today—Wednesday, September 16, 2026 (Shahrivar 25, 1405)—the administration of Rah-e Zeinab Girls’ School in the Kambal-e Soleyman rural district of Chabahar County demanded that students provide 450,000 Tomans in cash and a ream of A4 paper to receive their textbooks.
Sources speaking to Baloch media stated: “The school administration announced that to receive their textbooks, students must hand over 450,000 Tomans along with a ream of A4 paper. These demands have caused dissatisfaction among students and their families, particularly given that Kambal-e Soleyman is a remote area where many families face severe economic and livelihood hardships.”
Official channels and designated systems are supposed to handle textbook fee collection for public schools; direct collection of cash from students requires investigation and clarification by education officials. Furthermore, requiring a ream of A4 paper before issuing textbooks is considered an unconventional practice.
The continuation of such demands imposes additional financial burdens on families and further hinders access to education. Citizens are calling for an investigation into the matter and accountability from Chabahar County education officials.
