Dr Sabiha: My father, Mir Basheer Ahmed, has been taken to the office of Hub SP
My father, Mir Basheer Ahmed, has been taken to the office of Hub SP—not for a crime he committed, but for the political stance I uphold. He’s been told he will be released only if I give my arrest.
This is not law enforcement. This is political blackmail.
When the state fails to silence a voice, it turns to punishing blood relations. My father and family has been multiply harassed because of my activism.
But fascism forgets: ideas don’t live in houses they can raid. They live in the hearts of people who refuse to kneel.
We will not be silenced.
