Officials should not sign “strategic contracts” with any country; the country’s independence must be preserved
Moulana Abdul Hamid continued, referring to the president’s visit to Russia, and said: “Our advice to officials is not to sign strategic contracts with any country, especially signing defense contracts is to the detriment of the country. Of course, there is nothing wrong with signing ordinary contracts and contracts that are in line with the economic interests of the people and the country.”
He continued: “Maintaining independence” is among the most important and greatest interests of the country. You interact with the East and the West, with China, Russia, America, Europe, and other countries of the world; our country’s interests lie in this, but do not make yourself dependent on any country.
🔹In the case of Zahedan’s Bloody Friday, we want “the truth”
🔹People should not worry; The issue of Bloody Friday is being followed up and investigated
In another part of his speech, Maulana Abdul Hamid referred to the latest court ruling regarding the Bloody Friday case in Zahedan and said: Recently, a news item titled “Court ruling regarding Bloody Friday” was published in cyberspace and caused some confusion. Many have also wondered why we have not said anything about this until now.
He noted: What was published in cyberspace, according to the Chief Justice of Sistan and Baluchestan, is in response to a question that was asked of him, and he has also stated the ruling that was issued, and all parties are supposed to sit together in the presence of scholars and experts and discuss so that no one’s rights are violated.
🔹From our perspective, the Bloody Friday case has “retribution”; The authorities should also be tried
Maulana Abdul Hamid continued: In the previous ruling issued by the court regarding the Bloody Friday case, the lawyers of the families of the martyrs objected to this ruling, citing the constitution, and we also spoke on the pulpit at the same time and said that from our point of view, this case involves “retribution.” Of course, our emphasis is that “right” must be observed. When a judgment is made in the right way, everyone will accept it.
The Imam of the Friday prayer in Zahedan added: After the previous ruling, we said that the scholars of both sects, including judges, lawyers, and experts, should sit together and talk; if you convince us that there is no retribution, we will convince the people that we want the right and therefore there is no retribution. Or we will convince you about retribution and you will carry out retribution. This meeting was supposed to be held and we were also following up, but the officials who were there at the time did not attend the meeting and the issue remained as it was.
He continued: “An issue that has been said before and is now the demand of the people is that those responsible for this incident should also be brought to trial and not be ignored by anyone.”
🔹Regarding the issuance of a new verdict, the provincial Chief Justice has been discussed so that no one’s rights are violated. Maulana Abdul Hamid said: “Now that the issue of the Bloody Friday case has been raised again in cyberspace, we have sent our views and opinions in writing to the authorities. We have also spoken with Hojjatoleslam Movahidi Rad, the respected Chief Justice of the province, who is skilled in both jurisprudence and the constitution, and with other authorities. A meeting is scheduled to be held with the presence of the parties, the Chief Justice, judges, experts, and lawyers, and they will examine the issue in a way that no one’s rights are violated.” He emphasized: The summary of the explanations I gave is that there is no need for concern and this issue is still being followed up and addressed, and the important point is that the rights of the relatives of the deceased and the injured must be fully respected and their satisfaction must be achieved.
🔹The Iranian nation is worried and upset about the increase in executions
In the final part of his speech, the Imam of Zahedan reacted to the issuance of new “death” sentences and said: Recently, the death sentences of some people, including a number of women, have been issued. Our benevolent advice is that in order to turn towards the nation, past policies, especially executions, must be stopped.
He added: The Iranian nation and other nations of the world are upset and worried about these executions. The authorities must avoid any action that hurts the feelings of the Iranian people.
🔹Political executions, especially the execution of women, are “dangerous” Maulana Abdul Hamid emphasized: Political executions, especially the execution of women, as well as executions carried out for drugs, are dangerous. There is nothing wrong with executions for “retribution”, but other executions, which are not the decree of God and were not at the beginning of Islam, but are carried out based on a reading of Islam and the perception of some mujtahids, and this perception and reading have many opponents, must be stopped in order to address both the concerns of the Iranian nation and the concerns of the international community.
