The execution of a Baloch citizen along with another prisoner in Kerman prison

At dawn yesterday, 04 June 2023, the death sentence of a Baloch citizen along with another prisoner who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges was executed in Kerman prison.

The identities of these two prisoners, “Kambiz Barzkar”, a Baloch citizen, 28 years old from the tribe (authorized traveler), single from Khaja Asgar, Bam, and “Malik Baloch Mahani”, about 40 years old, married from Mahan, have been confirmed.

Kambiz and Malik were arrested and sentenced to death in Kerman on charges related to drugs in 2018, and their death sentences were executed yesterday.

According to current sources: “Kambiz Barzkar’s father was killed by direct fire of military forces in 2015”.

It should be mentioned that at least 45 Baloch prisoners, including two women, have been executed in 13 prisons of the country from May 9, 1402 to today, June 04.

It should be noted that at the same time as nationwide protests in the country, the execution of Baloch citizens has increased significantly, so that from August 29, 2022 to June 04, 2023, at least 148 Baloch citizens have been executed in various prisons of the country, and this statistic is the number of authenticated people. which has caused the concern of activists and human rights organizations.
